• Hi all,

    I’ve just re-set my blog back up and haven’t had any issues previously with FTP. I’m currently running the default theme and all I want to do is edit the header. I’m trying to do this by the upload function.

    This is the error I get; https://img534.imageshack.us/img534/9475/helpu.png

    I am usually able to add/edit files on my FTP account, but I can’t do it all. I got this;

    tatus:	Set permissions of '/www/hop3y.com/wp-content' to '777'
    Command:	CWD /www/hop3y.com
    Response:	250 Directory successfully changed.
    Command:	SITE CHMOD 777 wp-content
    Response:	550 SITE CHMOD command failed.

    I thought I should upgrade to 3.0.1 to see if that solves anything but no! Got this; https://img215.imageshack.us/img215/590/updatew.png

    Does anyone know a solution? I only want to change the header!

    Thanks

  • Change the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    If you’re still having problems, contact your hosts. Your server’s current configuration may be a problem.
