Adding Google Analytics & Plugins to Spun

  • I am having trouble adding Google Analytics to my site created on the Spun theme. I got the code from Google, but for the life of me can’t find the templates? Also, does this theme support plugins?

    I upgraded to the Custom Theme package for Spun because I thought it would help me but still can’t figure it out :/

  • Hi. It looks like your site is hosted at WordPress.com, which does not appear to support the use of Google Analytics at this time. See here:

    (There are some techniques that others have used involving a content delivery network, but this is not a standard option and would take some technical setup steps.) If you use a self-hosted WordPress blog, you could then add Google Analytics to your theme or via a plugin.

    Note that you can access lots of stats about your site’s usage from the “Stats” tab on your WordPress.com homepage.
