Adding Google Analytics?

    I put the Google Analytics code without the script tags in the Mantra Settings -> Miscellaneous Settings -> Custom JavaScript, where I was successfully able to put another script, but a user said they were getting some sort of error message about that script (no idea what was happening but I thought maybe the script wasn’t working right & I didn’t want that to happen to any user). So I deleted it and put the full script in the Fourth Footer Widget Area in a Text box.

    When I look at my page source (making sure to refresh & trying in different browsers), I still see the old script in the header area instead of the new script in the footer area.

    I guess I was having a caching problem. I now see it, though it causes my footer to split in half which is not what I want. Is there a better way to put in the Analytics code?

    You’re using caching and are seeing the page generated yesterday:
    Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-09-29 23:10:08

    Turn it off and on or find the “empty cache” function.

    Duh, I forgot about that and thought it wasn’t set for administrators. Thanks! I’m still trying to figure out how to set the Google Analytics without causing a split footer. Any suggestion?

    The cache thing gets me every time!

    What do you mean by split footer?

    Actually, I went in to empty the cache and see that I have the plugin disabled. I thought it was causing problems and supposedly it is not caching now, though there certainly is caching happening somewhere.

    Thanks for trying to help. When I view the footer on https://dmuuc.org I have one with a list of where members are located that should display across the whole bottom but it only displays across 1/2 that area now since I guess the footer widget where I put the Google Analytics code is in the other 1/2.

    So I re-enabled the cache plugin and deleted the cache, reset the timing, and set it to not include known users. Then I added the code to the 2nd footer with the member locations so the footer wouldn’t split. Done!
