In a lot of cases syndicated content is not the good boost that it’s meant to be.
One of my clients has done this on a site, and used syndicated content from three different sources so that they could create “an automated money-making site”. Basically they wanted a whole lot of content to draw in search terms and then sell ads on the pages. So far since January 1 this year they have had a total of 21 hits (that’s right, 21 total) and have had 6 referrals from search engines. This is despite the site being live for around 2 years so far, having over 44,000 posts and the site being in a very popular genre. To this date they’ve currently made a total of $0.00.
Syndicated content just doesn’t work. It doesn’t boost your site in the search engine rankings and it doesn’t help you to get more visitors. It just makes your site look like it’s copying all of the other sites out there.
If you want real content that will draw real visitors, either write your own unique content or pay someone else to write it for you. That’s how it’s done. There are no shortcuts to this.
