Adding Dynamic Content To A Static Homepage

  • Having just set up a bespoke and static home page and quite apart from adding static content, I would like to add dynamic content summaries.

    How to please?

  • there are some plugins which enable you to insert posts and lists into pages.

    that’s a really powerful plugin, i’ve used that in other projects to display posts in a page

    I downloaded and activated it and got an irritating message saying the author enjoys the open source ideals, whereupon suggest I might get rid of his permanent request for payment residing in my dashboard, by paying him something for the plugin.

    I was very unhappy about this and deactivated the plugin.

    I will look for something less powerful and more FREE.

    I appreciate that authors do sterling work and need to make a living, but blackmail is not an happy course of action.

    Should I build my static home page structure using an HTML editor and then import this into the static home page?

    How do I insert dynamic site content such as the latest posts etc?
