Adding datalayer to buttons

    Hi,
    I want to track user interactions on the buttons. For this, I would like to add a datalayer snippet to the buttons. Something like
    data-datalayer=”{“event”:”footerInteraction”,”elementInteractedWith”:”butonName”}”

    How can I do this?
    Is there a better way to do it?
