Is it possible to define tags for certain taxonomies that are then automatically adopted when pages are created?

I allow users to create pages. However, I have no “automatic” guarantee that the information in the title and meta is correct. How can I be sure that pages created by users are somewhat SEO-compliant?

    Howdy!

The SEO Framework automatically generates titles, descriptions, and other metadata from default WordPress content fields. You need not configure anything in particular in TSF for this to work; the default settings already do this.

Still, do you have an example page where you’re trying this? Also, could you explain what you have now and what you want instead? Thanks!

Hi! I would also like to ask a question related to this topic.

We have a custom post type of rentals in our website that users can create from a frontend form. For the rental description we have created a custom field.

How can we assign this custom field as the meta description of each rental so the plugin automatically takes the meta description from that custom field on each new rental created?

Right now the meta description of each rental is empty by default.

    Looking forward for your comments.

    Best!

Hi @samrot! Although your query appears related to this topic, it’s about taxonomies, not post types. I think it’s best to open a new topic: https://tsf.fyi/support/tsf/new-topic.

Still, you’re looking for this filter: the_seo_framework_description_excerpt.
Here’s an example to get started: https://tsf.fyi/kb/a/160#set-custom-post-type-archive-descriptions.

If you need help with that, please ask about it in a new topic. I think it’d be helpful to know how you created the custom field. Thank you!
