Adding custom fields

Great plugin. I’m trying to add a custom field to the Invoice. I’ve tried using
<h3><?php echo wcdn_get_order_custom_field('box_contents');?></h3>
But that isn’t returning anything.It is essential thebox contents are on the invoice for delivery purposes, Any help?
