This Child Theme plugin you have doesn’t really do anything, it just creates a style.css file in your Child Theme folder. Its role is the same as your Custom CSS plugin.

(With your Child Theme plugin still active)
To modify the footer.php file you need to manually copy it and paste it into your Child Theme folder; then you can modify your Child Theme footer.php file.

Ask your hosts to help you with this if you don’t have access to your website’s files and folders.

I don’t know what you can and can’t FTP, but it’s not something you can do in the dashboard.

. i logged in to my site on the host and i can see file structure – there is a parent folder but i don’t see a child folder etc
