Hi, first of all, congratulations for becoming one of the first block based theme provider in the repository ??

I am trying to add contact form shortcode through the site editor but it doesn’t work. I tried all the major contact form plugins. What am I missing here? Is this not yet supported in FSE? It works on pages, but not when trying to add it to the template within site editor.

    Thanks

Shortcodes work when placed in a template part (header, footer etc) but not in a template (page, index, single etc).

It seems to be an issue with Gutenberg FSE, and hopefully it will be fixed before FSE is available in WP core.

For now the solution is to either add the shortcode to a template part such as the header or footer, or create your own template part to contain the shortcode and then add the new template part to the page template.

To create a new template part, add a ‘Template Part’ block to the page template, select ‘New template part’ and add the shortcode block to the new template part.

@uxl Thanks for clearing that up. This is very useful information.
