• I have to add a CNAME record in directadmin / DNS Records for validation.

    CNAME : mailpoet1._domainkey.dierenasiel-sssss.be
    VALUE : dkim1.sendingservice.net

But i have to add a point to the value dkim1.sendingservice.net.

If i don’t add the point he puts the domainname behind it like :
    dkim1.sendingservice.net.dierenasiel-sssss.be

Both methods result in INVALID if I perform the DNS Records check.

What is the solution here? What am i doing wrong?

    Kind Regards from Belgium
    Andy

    Hi there @andyvb,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

It does not sound like you are doing anything wrong, and we have seen similar reports today from other MailPoet users, so we are currently investigating what might be happening here.

Can you share with us the name of your website host, to help us identify any potential patterns here?

    Thank you!

    Hi again @andyvb,

Just checking in to see if you still have questions on this issue. Looking in our system, it looks as though your site’s domain is now verified and ready to go.

If anyone else is struggling with this issue, please note that you can add a period (“.”) at the end of your CNAME records to block the addition of the full domain name at the end of the field value.

For example, instead of setting up your CNAME record value to be “dkim1.sendingservice.net” you would enter “dkim1.sendingservice.net.” with the final dot.

CNAME values entered with the final dot were not recognised by our server as valid field values, but this has now changed. If you are still struggling to verify your domain having added the final dot to the CNAME record values, then please make sure you have upgraded MailPoet to the latest version and re-verify.
