• My main page is going to be my “latest posts” page. I’ll be using excerpts on the main. Under each post excerpt, I want to display the category tag, but I’m not sure where to insert that. There’s no options for it in the theme customizations and I know you’re not supposed to edit the Genesis files.

  • Can you tell me which theme or page builder you are using?

Yeah it’s the Magazine Pro theme.

I hope this link works but I took a screenshot of what I’m referring to. Also, how do I get the divider underneath each post excerpt? This screenshot was from before my theme updated. I wonder if there’s a css code I can easily insert.

First, create a post. While creating follow the steps mentioned in the image linked below:

I’m sorry if I was unclear. I know how to create a category. I need to put that category tag underneath the excerpt of my main page, as shown in the photo I provided earlier.

There is no post on your site. First, create one post, and the category will display automatically.

I just created a testing page, but the category doesn’t display on the main home page. It does display it when I click into the post though.

This may be due to your theme functionality or your setup. To confirm and fix it I need to look into your wp-admin if you wish so.
