Adding captions to a video using the Visual Editor

  • How can an non coder add a caption to a video? I tried using the embed tags along with the caption tag – does not work using SO Visual Editor? example:

    [caption width=170 caption="Testing"][embed] https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&reload=9&v=yhrUKXyGpzY[/embed][/caption]

    When I test the shortcode you’ve provided, it does work. Here are screenshots showing this:

    As far as another method goes, I don’t know of one at this stage. This post covers the same method you’re using now, by adding a caption manually to the shortcode.
