Adding Captcha to Dream Way Template

  • I just downloaded the plug in Contact Form 7 to the Dream Way template which is a child theme to SG Window. I clicked the integration (to add a recaptcha code to the contact form) and copied/pasted the site key and secret key. The instructions say that I must “Paste this snippet before the closing </head> tag on your HTML template” and “Paste this snippet at the end of the <form> where you want the reCAPTCHA widget to appear:”

    I am not sure where to paste these snippets since the editor is mostly php and css. Can someone please help me?

  • Were you aware that Contact For 7 has its own, inbuilt challenge/captcha? The Quiz option even ensures that it is accessible to all disabled users.

    Thanks Esmi. I thought it did, as I followed the integration as instructed (went to google, got the keys and pasted them in the integration form) however, when I went to test it…..I was not given the recaptcha itself. I am just a click and hope it works kinda gal. ??

    I did notice there was already a contact form that I could add code to in a post or page. I downloaded another contact me form as a plugin. Maybe I just need to remove the second one and stick to the first ??

    Well, I removed the Contact Form 7 because the recaptcha did not work …..in built or not. It simply did not give me that option.

    The contact form that came with the WP also does not give the recaptcha. So, I have no idea what to do now.

    So frustrating.

    Ummm… there’s no contact form within WordPress by default.

    Interesting. I downloaded the WP which was offered from my server and there is already a contact form there. I am attaching a link to the print screen I did…oh wait…..maybe it came with jetpack ??
