adding background music on the home page

That is beyond the theme’s functionality.

With that said, it will all depend on how you propose to add the music.

One way would be to embed the audio code in a page which would be ideal if you are using a static page as your home page.

You could also use a widget that allows for conditional tags to be employed and embed the code with that.

Another option is you could embed the code in the header.php with an if is_front_page conditional tag – but only do this if you are using a child theme to make changes to the theme’s core files.

There are plugins that allow for adding code to the header.php or footer.php but not sure if they offer conditional tags.

Let me know how you propose on adding the music and what will be the source and I’ll have a look in to it further.

It will easily let me embed using a plugin/widget on the internal pages but on the home page it is diffeent.

OK, just realized that you’ve actually asked this question on the wrong theme. Unfortunately I’m unable to assist you on this issue as I don’t know the structure of the theme in use.

Your best bet is to ask the theme author for assistance on this issues. Further more I don’t believe this is actually a theme issue.
