Adding audio to page – want to be able to

  • I want to be able to embed audio (mp3) files in a web page via Add Media however instead of [audio mp3="<url of audio file.mp3>"][/audio] I end up with:

    &export=view”>name.mp3

    In looking at the plug-in’s Folder and File list I see that the name of the file includes the .mp3 file extension and that when I look in WordPress -> Media the file list displays the file is type as AUDIO/MPEG.

    When I look at the file type of a audio file stored on my webserver (as opposed to on Google) I see that the file type is MP3.

    Does anyone have a solution for embedding audio?
