Adding and working with special fields

Hey all,

Thanks in advance for your help. I really appreciate it.

I am trying to do something a bit out there. I want to modify a wordpress to take additional fields in the post.php file and be added to the database.

I’ve already setup additional fields in the database, and added corresponding form fields in the post-new.php

Now what?
I’m looking through the code in Post.php – am I even warm?

How do I get the fields I enter in to go with the rest of the post?
