adding and editing text to a new or existing post

  • Where can I see what version I’m using?

    The text area for a post is stuck on ‘visual’ however I think the HTML options are showing above it. I can insert a title and thats all.

    If I view a post all I see is the title, no text, however when I go to ‘preview’article I can see the title and text.

    This is the same for new and draft posts, I cant type in the text area box.

    I’ve tried 3 different browsers, its the same on each.

    Can anmyone help please

  • Have you tried:
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or your hosting site’s file manager. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    Thanks, this helped. I deactivated all the plugins, The ‘events calendar’ was the culprit.
