• I’m trying to add a new theme to my blog, however, I cannot figure out how to upload a theme from the extended themes. I was able to download the file from the www.remarpro.com extended section.

But anyway, how do I upload this zip file to my dashboard (or where ever I need to upload it to) in order to add it to my blog?

    Thanks.

  • You can either go to “Appearance – Add new themes” in the admin menu, click on “Upload” and upload the theme there. Or you can unzip the downloaded theme and upload it, e.g. via FTP, to your WordPress installation under wp-content/themes. Once you’ve done that the theme should appear unter Appearance – Themes where you’ll be able to activate it.

I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find “Add new themes” under the appearance section on the admin menu.

What I just realized though is that I’m on www.remarpro.com and my account is on wordpress.com. Does this make a difference? I tried downloading the stable version of wordpress but when I tried to install it, it would give me an error and at some point in the text would say it is already installed. Therefore, I’m not sure how to upload the theme via FTP either.

If I could simply even adjust a current theme’s font style and color that would be fantastic but I can’t figure out how to be able to edit the code.

Any help would be appreciated on any of these issues. Thanks.

    my account is on wordpress.com

Have you already read this and that?

when I tried to install it, it would give me an error

How exactly did you install it? Have you read the docs?
