Adding affiliate links

    Hi all,

    New to the forum and WordPress. I’ve just about finished building my first site and have most of the content loaded up. Soon I will be looking to sign up with some affiliate programs. I want to use a combination of banners and ads but also insert some text links into the body of my pages.
    I have very limited experience and haven’t got a clue about how to go about inserting the banners & links. I guess its not as simple as just copying the affiliate codes (when I get some) into a post right? I have no experience of HTML or anything, will this be a problem? Are the links relatively easy to add
