Adding About Us to Author Breadcrumbs

  • I’d like to add a link back to the About Us page in the breadcrumbs on all author pages. Currently, breadcrumbs look like this:

    Home >> AuthorName

    I want this:

    Home >> About Us >> AuthorName

    Yoast is installed.

    the current pathway to author pages looks like this:

    sitename.com/about-us/bio/authorname

    If breadcrumbs is a feature of your theme, then I recommend asking at that theme’s support so its developers and support community can help you with this.

    If breadcrumbs is a feature of a plugin, then I recommend asking at that plugin’s support so its developers and support community can help you with this.

    By disabling ALL plugins as suggested in my previous reply, have you determined if Yoast plugin is the culprit?

    The breadcrumbs work so there is no “culprit”, but I want to customize the breadcrumbs specifically on the author bio pages to include a “parent” page. I am looking for advice on how to customize the breadcrumbs on this specific page, while leaving the other breadcrumbs alone.

    – is breadcrumbs a feature of your theme: If so what theme? Theme acquired from?

    – Or are you using a plugin for it? If so, what plugin? Plugin Acquired from?

    As mentioned – I am using Yoast for breadcrumbs.
