Adding a user from the community

Hello,

I wish to add a user who already has a wordpress.com account, but when following the instructions here https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/ – I see no option to add someone from the community.

I am hosting the site myself, so I guessed that this is probably the problem, but since I am hosting the site myself, is there a way for me to add this user without creating a whole new account for him?

I don’t believe that is possible to add a user from wordpress.com to a ‘self hosted blog’.

There is a plugin to import users:

sorry just to clarify as the user has just sent me this:

“I’d rather just have one wordpress log in that i can manage serveral sites from”

because my site is hosted seperate from wordpress.com, the above is not possible?

– I downloaded the suggested plugin above, but it asks me to input a password for each user, if I get the password, will I be able to import the above person to my userlist?

Or install WordPress MU or https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+plugin+one+login+multiple+sites

I believe you would need to specify a password for each user.
