• First let me say the page is working fine – now. I’m trying to add a text widget to the left sidebar (a short tip of the day type thing), but when I do everything else in the sidebar disappears. I want to insert it under the categories, and re-arrange the order of a couple of other things, i.e., archives, blogroll. Any help with this? thx.

  • Hi, If this is the first sidebar widget you are adding to a default theme setup, then you will have to add the other widgets where you added your text one. Right now I’m guessing you have only the text widget and no others in that left side window. If you drag up the categories and blogroll up with your new text widget all should be fine. You can rearrange them at that time too. Hope this helps and is not confusing.

You’re right, it is a default theme, but take a look and you’ll see what I mean: Black Belt Politics
The left sidebar is where I want to put the text widget without erasing what’s already there.
