adding a text/comment field to an order

We have a piggy bank that we will be selling and it was easy to add color selection, but the bank has the person’s name across the front.
I am unable to figure out how I can add a text/comment field to allow the customer rot type in the name that they want on the front of their bank.
Adding the colors by way of variation was easy enough, and I had expected to find a feature to allow for the name as well, but so far no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
