Adding a text and link to the twenty fourteen template

Hi,

I am looking to add some text and a link to the area underneath the title. Right now looking at the post there is the title, then underneath is an area that shows the date, username, how many comments, and edit. I would like to add the text here, as this is the easiest way I can see for it to appear on every post, although it would be nice if I could make the text a little bit larger than the text that it’s already set to.

I don’t know how to make orphan files and all that. Is there a simple way to do this? Like could I edit one file and add some code to it? Or does anyone know of a simple and easy way to add some text and a link and have it appear on every single blog post? Thanks for your help!
