Adding a slider carousel to menù

Hi,
I need to make this: https://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/200/calendar2.jpg/

So, whenever i click on ideas or products or events a sub-menu like this one appear.
I know that probably i need a good slider carousel, but the buttons are in the header, the slider has to appear just below it, how could i do something like that?
