Adding a slider

Hi,

I’m trying to add a full-width image slider just below the navigation. I get everything to work fine by adding it to the header.php. However when toggling the sidebar / social menu, all the content of the sidebar floats down to start below the “image-slider” which is now hidden.

How can I control the rendering of the sidebar?
Alternatively add the image-slider in the main-content area, the issue here is that the width will not be full-width but limited to the “content-area” width, second issue is that when the sidebar is “de-toggled” the component is hidden?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
