• Hi All,

This might be a silly question but I have the theme Sahagin installed on my site and I love it except for one thing – I’d like to have a sidebar on my blog page and posts.

    My site is https://www.acatlikecuriosity.com

I have installed and configured the plugin Widgetise pages to do this but no matter how hard I follow the instructions the sidebar doesn’t appear.

Is it possible to do this with Sahagin? I love it in every other way really except this inflexibility.

I have tried other themes but haven’t been as happy with the end result in terms of design.

If anyone can help/has any tips I’d be very grateful.

    Many Thanks,

    Sarah

  • For what it is worth I have exactly the same issue and it is the one reason why I might decide to abandon using the theme.
I hope the support team replies to Sarah’s question and I post to reiterate attention to her original query

I have switched over to the Ugallu theme actually, as I couldn’t find an answer and having a sidebar on some pages but not all is simple to do. It is by the same designer too – it uses the Stargazer framework.

    Thank you

I wouldn’t recommend trying to put a sidebar in a one-column theme (square peg into a round hole). It’s easier to simply use a theme that has a sidebar.

If you like what you get with Saga, I’d definitely recommend Stargazer for a theme with more features, such as a sidebar.

Thanks Justin – I did wonder if it was a silly idea to begin with but thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask about it here ?? I’m pretty new to wordpress.
