Adding a sidebar to my homepage

  • I’m using the fruitful theme. I’m trying to add a sidebar to my static landing page into which I wish to add a widget that links to my latest blog posts.

    I’ve been reading loads of advice on these forums which mentions changing the template on that page, but I can’t find any information about how to do this and what I would need to change it to.

    My site is annacotton.co.uk

    I’m relatively new WordPress and I’m baffled. Any ideas? (In laymans terms, please!)

    this plugin includes a sidebar creator.

    works with most well coded themes.
