• Hi there!
I’m running a business directory site https://www.dbnbusnet.co.za on WordPress 3.4.2 with the BlogoLife Theme from WPLook team.

I chosed this theme cause it has the functionallity of putting a banner add on top next to the logo.

Now I thought this must be so easy – yeah right – many hours later – still battling, so I thought maybe someone can shed some light!

In the dashbord WPLook panel there is a space “Insert the header description, or a banner (468×60) code” OK so I tried just getting an image in there with html code – that did not work.

I have this plugin Promotions – where you are able to have the adds rotate – and this works well for me in the side widget.

I thought of trying shortcode to insert into the header – but could not add the shortcode in the dashboard to I search for putting it in header.php coding – Also nothing works.

Ok – so could be the plugin maybe – NOPE – tried AdRotate – also does not work..

So I really do not know anymore…Please help me….

  • What type of ads are you wanting to… add? Is it adsense?

    Hi Josh,
Just picture adds with link back to client’s website or listing – we can manage it ourselves so it will be a basic rotation.

Thanks for relying – hoping that there is something I can do to solve..

Gotcha. I was just making sure… as it’s pretty pointless to try and rotate adsense ads ??

Ummm.. I don’t have any experience with any plugins… but if you are using a child theme… you could use add all your images to a folder… and use a function to pull a random image from the folder and display it in your space.

But, this is a little advanced… probably beyond the scope of this forum.

Did you try contacting the theme developer and asking his opinion?

Yep – I am now purchaseing the Pro version – at least that has support – haha!!

Thanks for your reply!! Really appreciate it!! Have a wonderful day!

    Hey Ella1wp,

If you haven’t found a solution to your problem, our Extended AdRotate Ad placements plugin might be able to help.

While designed for AdRotate, it might also work with the Promotions plugin.

We’re definitely interested to find out what other themes and ad plugins our new plugin works with, so if you decide to try it out, please let us know if it works for you.

    Thanks!
