Adding a PHP page to my template

I’m using a template for my blog that has been designed by someone else.

However, I’d like to add a very straight forward extra page of links (link partners as opposed to those on my BlogRoll).

So I’ve created a new PHP page simply calling in the header and then putting a simple HTML link in the code. I’ve uploaded that to my templates directory (along with the other PHP files that are being used).

However, clicking through to linkpartners.php just results in a 404 error being displayed. What am I doing wrong? Is this not possible? Or have I just uploaded the file to the wrong place?
