Adding a page to home page

  • Hi all. I’m brand spanking new to website building and I’m sorry that my question is so basic but I feel like my head might explode. I’ve been given my website by the person that created it and now I want to add a new page. I log on under with my website name then /wp-admin. I can add a page under the add page tab on the left hand side of the dashboard, it tells me it is published but I can’t see it on the homepage of my website. I’ve read questions that say I need to add a page under theme tab but I can’t find this option on my dashboard does this mean they haven’t given me full admin rights??? Please help

  • Go to menus in the dashboard and add page to the menu.

    I don’t have a menus option on my dashboard that’s what makes me wonder if they have given me full admin rights to my website. I can’t change my theme or layout either. I can edit posts etc and add a new page but it doesn’t show up on my home page only the page that lists all my pages?

    Especially Appearance, You may not be a full admin. Can you create new users?

    No I mustn’t have full admin. I haven’t got anywhere near that many options and can’t add new users. Grrr! Thank you for all the help and advice.
