• Resolved winepress52

My website is not as yet live and I’m trying to resolve the main menu log-in/log-out function. I’m using WooCommerce for my downloadable image sales website and wish to offer customers an “account” or registration to facilitate retention of their wish-list creation and for my email promotions. Under “Accounts & Privacy”, WooCommerce includes account creation optionn and there is a WooCommerce “My accounts” page but as I search my pages listing and other locations, I find no resident WooCommerce pages or options for creating a log-in or out menu item. I know there are a variety of plugins available for that purpose but I’m thinking there must be a utility or feature already in WooCommmerce or the WordPress environment for that. I’m hoping to find or create a simple menu item at the top of my page for this purpose that provides the basic login function and an equally simple log-out menu button that leaves or returns the user on the homepage.

  • Your My Account page is your login page, which you can find on the pages section on the menus page.

For logout, WooCommerce provides endpoints to add in menus, you’ll have to enable those if you can’t see those.

To enable/see endpoints on the menus page, click on the *screen options button*(Located on top-right on the page, below the howdy {username}) then you’ll find a checkbox to enable endpoints. Once you enable it you’ll see the section on the left sidebar on the menus page, toggle that section and choose the logout menu.
