    Are you sure that the handler of clickTAG is defined in your ad? I tested your ad here. Nothing!!!

    Do you mean it has to be part of the swf file itself? (I am just trying to link a banner somebody has created; I did not create it myself)

    Is it not good enough to write the code as

    https://www.gdj.com.au/projects/LIAD/leaderboard-03/LIAD-leaderboard-03-728×90.swf?clickTAG=https://www.loveinaduck.com&clickTarget=_blank

    or to add
    https://www.loveinaduck.com/
    in the ads “AD Target” field when using the image mode?

    I also tried adding the same ad as code, with the same problem:

    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
      codebase="https://active.macromedia.com/flash4/cabs/swflash.cab#version=4,0,0,0"
      id="name" width="728" height="90">
      <param name="movie" value="https://www.gdj.com.au/projects/LIAD/leaderboard-03/LIAD-leaderboard-03-728x90.swf?clickTAG=https://www.loveinaduck.com&clickTarget=_blank">
      <param name="quality" value="high">
      <param name="wmode" value="transparent">
    <param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always”/>
      <embed name="name" src="https://www.gdj.com.au/projects/LIAD/leaderboard-03/LIAD-leaderboard-03-728x90.swf?clickTAG=https://www.loveinaduck.com&clickTarget=_blank"
      quality="high" wmode="transparent" width="728" height="90"
      type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    pluginspage="https://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?
    P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash">
      </embed>
    </object>

    About clickTAG read here
    If you provide clickTAG handler in your flash ad, you can add it in SAM Ad as Flash banner “flashvars”: {clickTAG: escape('https://simplelib.com')}

    Thanks, I got them to modify the flash file and it all works now.
    But now I have another question: is there a possibility to add a fallback img file like a .gif in case the browser cannot display flash, for example on a tablet?

    No wonder I could not find it ??
    Thanks for the great service!

    Hi Guust – did you manage to add a fallback image? Do you care to share how? I can get my banner to work using code mode (using an embed like you have above), but not using image mode…. and the only place I can find a fallback option is in image mode??

    Image Mode -> This is flash (SWF) banner -> Generate Fallback Code

    @ mariavikbe:
    Like Minimus wrote, it is a new option now that he added as a result of my query, but you have to use Image mode (it is easier anyway).

    Thanks so much for your answers ?? I have not been able to get the banner to work in image mode. I’m a flash noob, so have no idea what to put in the the settings (flashvars, params, attributes)), and could find no explanation anywhere (have trawled the net 3 times) – so had to copy a code-mode setup. With added div-boxes and a separate script, I’ve managed to get it to work. But it’s been a long journey ??

    I can see that several people like me have asked for an explanation for these settings in image-mode, so it would be a huge service if you could add it somewhere for us not deep in the flash-game?

    Best regards,
    Maria

    These are my settings in Image mode; if you copy them you should get an ad for a friend of mine’s book; then adjust as you like:
    AD IMAGE: https://www.2cv.com.au/LIAD-leaderboard-clicktag-728×90.swf
    AD TARGET: the URL where I want the banner to link to, in my case https://loveinaduck.com
    AD ALTERNATIVE TEXT: Love in a Duck
    This is flash (SWF) banner: YES
    Flash banner “flashvars”: {clickTAG: escape(‘https://loveinaduck.com&#8217;)}
    Flash banner “params”: {}
    Flash banner “attributes”: {}
    Flash banner fallback code: <img src=”https://www.2cv.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/liad-leaderboard-fallback.gif”&gt;

    Thank you so much Guust!

    I’ll definitely have a go with those settings next time – it’s up and running today with code mode (it’s just a one-day ad) at https://www.boligcious.dk

    Best regards,
    Maria
