Adding a huge list of names.

  • My client runs a non-profit website and he wants to list a GIANT list of names of you has contributed. He gave them to me in an excel spreadsheet and the list will be changing quite frewuently. I have been thinking of the best way to do this for a while now, I really do not want to have to enter each one by hand, maybe just copy and paste them all or even be able to upload the spreadsheet or another file type. Does anyone have any advice, a plugin or an Idea about how I can go about this? Thanks a lot in advance.

    Can’t you select all, paste, and be done?

    The excel contents can be output into Word, then you copy that into a TEXT editor. Then you copy and paste that into your WP editor.
    I recently made an endorsements page like that where I styled some divs so I could have 2 columns within the ‘post’ section.
    Once the main bulk of names were added, the client can keep the list up. In your case you may just want to update by cut and paste the whole thing every so often.
