    Hello,
If a customer abandons their order and doesn’t pay, we usually email them just to let them know that for whatever reason, they payment hasn’t come through and if they’d still like to go ahead with the order.
We do this manually by going to Woocommerce> Order> Click on the order, and then click on the customers email address.
This will bring up a new email going to the customers email address. Is there any way to get this to automatically add a subject line containing the order number?
If so, how can we do this please?
We are new to WordPress and have very little coding experience.
    Thank you!

  • Hi @charlotteb22!

When clicking the email address on the Order section, it opens a third-party program to send the email; there is no option in WooCommerce core to add a Subject to those emails.

There is a chance you can achieve this with customization. For that, we recommend getting in touch with one of the customization experts listed on the WooCommerce Customizations Page; they can help you build the customization the way you need it.

Another thing you can try is a WooCommerce extension like Abandoned Cart Recovery; with it, you can create multiple follow-up emails and schedule to send them at specific intervals. You can include coupons and other incentives to improve conversion rates. And you can track your recovery performance using the built-in analytic dashboard of the extension.

Also, you can use AutomateWoo, an automation tool that has an option to send abandoned cart emails to your customers: https://automatewoo.com/abandoned-cart/.

If you have any pre-sales questions about them, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

We will be able to help you further there.

    Cheers!
