• Hi!

I was trying out the EverlightBox, and I really love the way it looks. It definitely lets your work stand out. However, I do feel like a description box, or something similar, is missing. Sometimes a few words about the hows, whats and whys can add a lot to a painting. Would it be possible to add this feature?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi there,

I’m glad you like the plugin. Do you mean you captions? Captions are actually already available for several kind of galleries but if you can’t make it work let me know more about it: URL and gallery used.

I actually meant for a way to read the caption/description while in the lightbox. For example a button with an “i” for information, which opens in a tiny box, similar to the facebook comments button. That way, you don’t have to close the lightbox every time you want to read the caption.

    Hi there,

as I said, there is already a caption available, look for example at this screenshot: https://ps.w.org/everlightbox/assets/screenshot-5.png?rev=1495426

However, an icon to show/hide the caption is a nice idea.

The gallery I’m using actually shows the title in that area. The description/caption becomes visible when hovering over the image in the gallery, but they don’t show up in the lightbox. This is a link to my gallery, so you can see:

As you can see, my descriptions tend to be a few sentences long, so adding them at the top of the image in the lightbox would be a bit too much. I actually really like that the lightbox shows just the title at the top, it looks really clean and professional that way. So what I’m looking for is a way to keep the title where it is, but to also add a description box, which you can open when you want to have a bit more information, similar to how you can open the facebook comment box. Not sure whether this would be possible?

    Thanks for your time!

Ok clear. I need to know the plugin you are using to make those galleries, can you please let me know the name?

The gallery I’m using is Photo Gallery by Supsystic:
