I’m wondering if theres a way to add a date to the posts in the the homepage News Section.

Would be great to be able to have the post title followed by the date it was created on with a excerpt underneath.

Currently all I have is the standard title followed by the excerpt.

I’m assuming this change can be achieved by editing the section-news.php but I’m not so familiar with it to start changing things willy nilly.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi @janekkrause,

It is not too complex. You can install the OnePress child theme :
    https://github.com/FameThemes/onepress-child

then create new template-parts/content-list.php and paste this code in that file :

let me know how it goes!

    Thanks for your reply.

In regards to the child theme, wont this affect my current websites look if I activate it. I’ve currently got a fairly modified version of the original OnePress theme active.

    See https://yarrampark.com.au/

Note where I’m trying to insert the post dates is in the latest news section below the homepage banner. Is there no capacity to update the current news template part?

    Hi @janekkrause,

Don’t worry. When install OnePress child theme, you can copy all settings in OnePress Theme dashboard : https://prntscr.com/ebvh6x

Sorry but we don’t support the change position section in free version. Would you like upgrade the Plus version to move News section to below Hero?
