• Hi.

Thank you for your help in a previous question. It sorted my problems. At the moment, I am using the following tutorial from your website (very helpful) to set up my slider:

    https://help.webriti.com/themes/appointment/how-to-set-up-slider-in-appointment-theme/

I have managed to sort everything except the button on the slider, which I would like to include. I am currently using the Gutenberg block editor, as opposed to the classic editor. Unfortunately, in the Gutenberg editor, there seems to be no functionality for ‘Customize Read More Button in slider’ as per your tutorial. Please could you let me know what I should do with the new editor to enable me to include a button? I have your suggested plugin installed.

    Thanks

    James

  • Hi
    Thanks for contacting to us.
To show read more button in the slider, you need to insert read more button in the slider post editor. You can insert read more button in the post editor after your desired content where you want to show read more button.

    Thanks

    Hi Akhilesh

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, this still doesn’t work. The Gutenberg block editor doesn’t seem to offer the ‘Customize Read More Button in slider’ functionality.

I have tried adding a button block after the text in the blog post, as well as a ‘read more’ tag, but neither appears in the slider. Please could you explain for me how to add this button within the new Gutenberg block editor, as opposed to the classic editor?

    Thanks

    James

    HI
Oops, apologize for my misunderstanding. No need to add read more tag in post editor for showing read more button in the slider.
Right now-slider content show read more button automatically when we add much content in editor bz we have used for excerpt functionality for slider content.

    Thanks

That’s okay, thanks. I’m quite happy without the button functionality for now.Do you know when it might be added to the new editor?

    Thanks
