    Hello,

I am currently trying to add a background image to my Virtue theme.
I want the image to take place of the whole background.

I have tried two different plugins and different CSS codes in the styles.css file with no luck.

I did not see any options in the theme options.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • What part of the background are you wanting to target, are you wanting a boxed look like this:

    Hello,

That could work for what I want.
I wanted a static background throughout the whole site without it being boxed.

How do I set a background like the page that you posted?

ok, well you can do it any way you want.

In the appearance > theme options > main settings you can choose if you want the boxed or wide layout.

In the appearance > theme options > advanced styling there is an option to set the background for the contentclass (which is the inside box or main area if full layout.)

And on the bottom of the advanced styling you can set the background for the body class which controls outside the box (if you have the box enabled).
