• I am building a new site for a non-profit board. I have about 75 “.htm” files that are meeting minutes and I want to add these to the wordpress site as-is. So I created a wordpress page called “Minutes” to put links to the files, and I created a folder called /meetingminutes/ at the same level as the wp-admin folder. It works, but wordpress is adding a link at the bottom of my htm pages which says, ‘Back to “Minutes”‘, which is the name of the page that I created with the links on it. When I click on the ‘Back to Minutes’ link, I get a 404 error. Any ideas about the right way to do this?

  • WP can’t add anything to static .htm files. Are you sure that isn’t in the html of the files? Post a link for further help.
