Addin new recurring event brings up Rescedule Events page and error message
-
I’m running EM with users’ access controlled by Simple WordPress Membership plugin, users having ‘Author’ access and ‘can edit recurring events’ is set in Settings. I can log in as a user and add single events perfectly well, but when I add a new event which is recurring, and click Submit, I get the page called “Reschedule Events (name of event)”, with 2 red warning messages:
“You do not have permission to edit others events”
“Something went wrong with the recurrence update…There was a problem saving the recurring events.”Also, a note appears under the Location box, suggesting I reset the fields and start again. If I do that, it accepts the new entry when I submit it.
Alternatively, I can ignore all the messages and just click the Submit button a second time, whereupon I get a popup which says:
“Are you sure you want to reschedule this recurring event? If you do this, you will lose all booking information and the old recurring events will be deleted.” When I click OK it creates the recurring event as I wanted it to.
I’m not rescheduling the event, just adding it for the first time.
What is going wrong, here?
