Added to Cart does not show on site

    I really need some help with a problem i have. On a product page when you click add to cart, there is no notification that the product has been added to cart. All that happens after i click the add to cart button is the page refreshes and goes to the top of the page. How can I add a notification that the product has been added to the cart next to the Add To Cart button? And stop it from going to the top of the web page…its very annoying.

  • I clicked add-to-cart. There was a brief button fade with a spinning wheel gif and then “View Cart=>” came up next to the button. The page did not jump to the top. This is expected behaviour.

    Check that you have javascript enabled in your browser settings. Also Check the console (Chrome: control-shift-J) for any javascript errors and post back here if you see some, I did not. Clear the your browser cache. Can you try it from other PCs to gauge how widespread the problem is.

    To add a notification that the product had been added to cart, instead of just the “View Cart=>” showing, would require good javascript skills and a fair chunk of time.

    Consider updating your theme from v2.1.0 to the latest 2.2.0, maybe one of the most recent fixes will be relevant.
