Added background image now main content area is screwed!

Hi,
I added a fixed background image to my site, and whenever I do this the main boxed content (main content area) is screwed up. The white box part does not continue all the way down and the writing continues on the background image. It is not the same width as the menu. This does not happen when I have a blank background. How to fix this? I hope you understand what I mean. Thank you.
