Added CSS to hide things in the external webpage don't work

I use iframe plugin to insert a web site inside my web site..
But I would like to hide some things from that web page that I’m inserting.
I added CSS in my custom css of my theme.. but it doesn’t seem to work with iframe… Is it normal?
