• Hi team,

    I’ve got a multi-site with 4 subsites (languages) and I’ve added a second subsite for a 5th language (French).
    So now I”ve got:
    site.com/en
    site.com/de
    site.com/nl
    site.com/es
    site.com/fr (new)

    I’ve configured the multilanguage plugin.
But when I go to e.g. the EN site and look into pages I don’t see the new language to link e.g. the EN home to the FR home page.

Also when at the plugin settings of e.g. the EN subsite I don’t see the new FR subsite.
But when I am at the FR subsite plugin settings I do see all the other sites.

    Am I forgetting something?

Important, I’ve used NS Cloner to clone the EN subsite to the FR subsite.

I guess that you still have to configure the Multisite Langauge Switcher in the fr subsite. Please, check and let me know! ??

Good afternoon @realloc, the settings where already configured. The flag is also visible on front page. But when I edit a page e.g. EN site I don’t see the FR flag. But when I edit on the FR site a page I see EN, NL, DE, ES, FR flag.
Also within Multisite Language Switcher options on EN, NL, DE, ES site I don’t see FR language. But on FR site I see at Multisite Language Switcher options EN, NL, DE, ES, FR.

    Odd..

Yeah, how is your en site configured. Do these to sites have the same reference user?

Don’t know what you mean @realloc.
The FR site is a clone (NSCloner) from the EN site and indeed same, except other language.

The configuration must be done for every blog. ??

I’ve done that also. Only added a new subsite and language.

Do the sites have different languages? fr has fr_FR for example?

    Hi!
Dashboard, Settings, General, Site language = French
Dashboard, Settings, MLS options language of blog = French

A bit odd is the following.
When I am at the FR site I see within “my sites” the 5 subsites.
    websitename (Nederlands)
    websitename (English)
    websitename (Deutsch)
    websitename (Espagnol)
    websitename (Francais)

When I am at the EN site I see within “my sites” the 5 subsites.
    But as follows:
    websitename (Nederlands)
    websitename (English)
    websitename (Deutsch)
    websitename (Espagnol)
    websitename

Checked also database tables, wp-options table, WPLANG = fr_FR

Is the last one a different website? Or is it the french Website?

Is the deactivation flag in the fr site maybe set?

    Thread Starter Damiaan van Vliet

    (@damnsharp)

Good morning Dennis, indeed the last one in the list is the cloned subsite (French). No the deactivation flag was not set, I checked.

What I did now, because this is still the development site, I’ve used Duplicator to create a copy of subsite EN and made a new subsite in language Italian (IT).

Than I deleted your plug-in and installed it again.

Than I configured all 6 sites.

The new Italian site is visible on the other sites (EN, NL, FR, DE). But the French site had still problems. So I removed that one and used also Duplicator (instead of NSCloner). And now… it’s done!

Everything works! So the culprit was probably NSCloner (free version).
