Add variable shipping insurance to checkout

    Is it possible to add an optional amount for shipping insurance, which amount would vary based on the Total value of the order, that the customer can accept and pay for or reject at checkout.
    It would be nice to offer customers the option of adding the appropriate level of shipping insurance to their order at check-out versus having to amend their order later.
    This way if the customer chooses shipping insurance they are covered up to the value of their order and our shop does not loose because the shipping company destroyed the order.

    Thanks for the response but I’m sorry, I don’t see any “Calculating” of shipping costs in the Booster Cpanel.
    I guess I need a wee bit more guidance as to what part of the plugin you reference and how to enact it.

    Hi,

    You could use “Checkout Custom Fields” module to create a checkbox “Add insurance” which when enabled would add a fixed or percentage fee using “Checkout Fees” module.

    I’m not sure what @shippinginsurance is refering to as his comment does not apply to Booster and they are not representative of Booster. In addition to that, they are breaking forum rules by asking you to contact them externally.
