Or perhaps I’m doing something wrong:

I’ve tried uploading an xls and an xlsx file that has column headings that match the fields in addition to the username field (Username First Name Last Name Outlet Phone). None of the fields are empty for any of the rows…

… every attempt to upload is met with an error message at the top of page with a red vertical bar, “File must be .xls or .xlsx”

To create the sheet, I first used the “Export to Excel” function, edited it in Excel for Mac 2011, and selected the file and uploaded it. I removed columns such as Date Added and Last Login.

Help? I have about 1000 users to import, so doing it by hand isn’t really an option. Alternatively, can I just slam some SQL together and attack the table by hand?

    Hi Marc,

We loosened up the file type checking, so there should be less false positives, if you want to update to 2.2.10 and give it another go.

First, thanks for being super responsive.

I just updated to 2.2.11, but no change in behavior: still getting the same message. Anything I can do to help troubleshoot?

    Hi Marc,

Sorry, that was our fault; we ended up not including the updated file. We’ve uploaded a new version and tested with it, and it seems to be working fine now.

    Nailed it. Thanks so much!
