Hi, great plugin! Thanks so much!

I would really like to be able to add another color to my palette – which is the revert to default colour ?? The little square box with the x in it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Glad to hear its of use to you.
What part of WordPress are we talking about? The Theme Customiser, the new Block Editor, or the old editor (TinyMCE), or even another plugin/theme? If we are talking about the Customiser or the new Block Editor, each colour picker should have a little button “Clear” that does what you need.
An external plugin/theme may offer its own way to reset a colour assigment and if such feature is missing, please contact those who look after the plugin/theme in question.

The old editor – the classic WordPress editor. (The Gutenberg update is alas useless in combination with my own customizations of the editor).

Ah, I see. I’ve done a bit of clicking around and realised that if you assign only the palette to the classic editor it does not include a “reset colour” cell unlike a rainbow or those blocks does. That’s indeed a bug or a missing feature. Congrats for finding that one!
Until next week I won’t be able to work on a solution but as soon as I’m able I’ll add it.

Glad we understand each other ?? I did not set out to find a bug – it found me. I will be very happy with a fix. Otherwise, this plugin has made me happy every day this last week. It saves so much typing and macro-ing. I have given you stars ??

Ok, version 1.13.9 is out. Let me know if that option is clear enough (no pun intended). Wasn’t sure how to name it.

Yep, I am now running 1.13.9 but I see no undo thingy yet. I wish I could send you a screencast, it would probably help you. I will see if I can find your email adress.

Ha! I was in for a surprise there when I clicked through to your website. No email address there. Hm. How do I send you a screenshot? I don’t know if I should put my email address here. My twitterhandle is @kittykilian.

Have a look at the settings page for the palette. There’s a box saying “Classic Editor”. That’s where you can choose what type of palette you want to use for the editor. If you select “Color Palette” there will appear a checkbox “Add Color Reset”. If you check that a little cell will be added to the picker very much like for the other three options.

Yay!! That worked! I would not have understood to check that if you had not told me – not being a native speaker I would have suspected it was something very intricate. May be explain in between brackets what a reset is? (Option to undo colorndo changes)

PS Thank you so much, code-monk!

Just for your information: that little cell with the cross is now added automatically to the colour picker since version 1.13.10.
You’re right, the checkbox wasn’t very clear on what it’s doing, so rather than adding to the confusion it’s now an automatic feature.

    Daniel, you’re the best! Thanks!
