I think I have the same question as taste-and-see, but don’t feel it’s answered, anderly, by your reply.
When you create groups in MailChimp, you add “Group details”, which is like a master category, then “Group names”, which are the various groupings within that category. So I might have, e.g.,:
Group Description I: Interested In…
* Group A: Politics
* Group B: Economics
* Group C: Health
Group Description II: Customers
* Group A: Made Previous Purchase
* Group B: No Previous Purchase
As far as I understand the fields in the plugin settings and anderly’s response, in “Group Name” you are supposed to enter the main category description, e.g., “Interested In…”, and in “Groups” enter the subcategory, e.g., “Politics” or subcategories separated by commas, e.g., “Politics, Economics”.
Is this a correct understanding? Assuming so, the question is: can we add subscribers to more than one master category, i.e., to a group or groups within both “Interested In…” and “Customers”?
For example, what if I want to have people who make a purchase through my WooCommerce store added to both “Interested In…: Politics” and “Customers: Made Previous Purchase”? How would I do that, or is it even possible?
It seems like the plugin limits us to adding subscribers to groups within a single primary category, i.e., either “Interested In…” or “Customers”, but not both.
